Red Notice: Movie review.

I just recently got to watch this riveting,big-budget film;Red Notice which was released  in 2021,after two years of wandering about,missing out on one of the very best.

The film cost a whooping 200million USD making it the most expensive film by Netflix at the time and while some of us,fans of the film,can argue that it was worth it,there were incredible losses especially following delays caused by the pandemic and the high budget did not exactly reflect in the action scenes and visuals, despite the captivating storyline,with obvious occasional uses of green screens here and there.

A RED NOTICE

A red notice,as used in the film is a request issued by Interpol globally to apprehend a wanted person.It is the closest thing to an international arrest warrant.

Such is what was issued in the film Red Notice, for the most wanted artthief concerning the dotted artpieces; three eggs,gifted to Cleopatra ages ago,one of which had been stolen from a museum.

CAST

The film written by Rawson Marshall Thurber and produced by Hiram Garcia(president of the Seven Bucks productions;(films include Jumanji:the next level,apart from it's intriguing plot also had a very stellar casting with some of the most renowned actors and actresses featuring.

Part of it's high budget went into securing it's A-list actors with Bishop,the most wanted artthief being played by Gal gadot,best known for her role Wonder woman alongside Nolan Booth, the second most wanted artthief;played by the ever comic Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds.

 John Hartley,an FBI profiler, played by Dwayne Johnson and Inspector Urvashi Das are on a mission to stop these two. 

John Hartley is set up and accused of working alongside Nolan Booth to steal the first egg from the museum and ends up imprisoned alongside Nolan with whom he agrees to work to catch the Bishop so that he,Hartley, clears his name and Nolan gets to finally acquire all the eggs and become the world's most wanted artthief.

All along the film we see a series of unexpected double crosses with people switching alliances as quickly as they made them.

In the end we see an unexpected turn of events with who actually ends up with all the eggs and a rather unanticipated collaboration for an even greater heist;a cliffhanger that almost promises the return of the film's second season.
