O heed ye to these wise words 😂😌
Infact when I close my eyes right now,I see myself sitted on a mat, shuka loosely tied from one shoulder, drooping in simplicity and minimalism, legs crossed, ready to share words of profound wisdom 😌 which kimchezomchezo might just end up being honored adages in ages to come 😅
I know there's all the noise nowadays with not listening to other people, their opinions and all that if you want to move forward.
But to be honest,we rely on the judgements and instincts of some people in our lives,a select few, whose judgements we trust to even form opinions.
These may be our parents, friends, mentors and people we look up to.Hawa wakisema hakuna cha eti oh 😂"nobody's opinion mara sijui oh 😂"listen to nobody but yourself,we actually sit ourselves down, listen and actually start considering what they're saying sometimes so much so that we change our minds on an issue.
These people ,I like to call, our circle of influence. Every person ought to have one and if they don't,my brother my sister❗flee 🚩🚩🚩avoid❗
This is a sound way of living, however,on the flipend, can also have a downside.Sometimes we idolise their opinions so much that even what they think of us, whether or not is what we think of ourselves we start debating with our own convictions and start believing and eventually becoming it instead.
We do this forgetting that they are also human and that we all hail from different backgrounds and have had different experiences that shape and affect how we see things.
It is not always that what they say goes.
We should therefore be shrewd and tactful enough to know when to take their words as gospel truth and also when to listen to and accept their opinion as stemming from their thought patterns but respectfully reject it as not applicable to you.
